Writing Prompts
Some writing prompts are dull, some are exciting, but either work. Their purpose is simply to get one writing.
• Describe your favorite part of your bedroom or house.
• Is there a fantasy land you've imagined before? Write about it.
• Do you idolize a musician? Write about meeting that person and hanging out afterward.
• Write from the perspective of an elemental spirit; water, earth, wind, or fire.
• Write a letter to an old friend that you don't plan on sending.
• Describe your ideal place of relaxation whether it exists or not.
• Describe a day doing your ideal job.
• You find an old journal. Whose is it? What does it say?
• Make up a new word. Make up a way it came about.
• You wake up one day to find you and one of your pets have traded bodies.
• Write a poem about a stone.
