My name is Lauren I. Ruiz. I'm an aspiring, Dominican writer currently residing in New Hampshire, USA. I spend my days writing, brooding, and craving to create art but never quite getting around to it. My main wish in life is that people cared more about one another and less about themselves. |
About the Site
Lace Words was opened to visitors on December 17, 2008. It is hosted at Tranquilium.net with a GoDaddy domain (purchased June 17, 2009). It is my writing Web site and an outlet for my urge to Web design.
The Name
I used to have a personal site named Lace. At a loss with what to name this site, I attached the old name, Lace, to Words. It sounded pleasing, so I kept it. After a while, I realized that Lace Words actually fits a writing site well because like lace, poetry is beautiful for, with, and despite its gaps (conclusions, words, or details omitted by the poet).
